Sony Vaio All-in-Ones

Sony has introduced a trio of all-in-one Vaios - the JS, LV and RT. These babies not only handle word processing, design, web browsing and other computing tasks, but they also work great as small, if expensive, HDTVs. All units have support for Blu-ray Discs either optionally or as standard in the top line models. The VAIO JS All-in-One desktop chassis features a 20.1″ LCD display with Sony’s XBRITE-ECO LCD technology. It will be available in black, silver and pink colors and feature an integrated microphone and web cam with face-tracking technology. It will have an SRP starting at around $1,000. The Vaio LV, features floating mirror design and has a 24″ WUXGA (1,920 x 1,200 resolution) widescreen high definition display using Sony’s own XBRITE-FullHD LCD technology. It also comes standard with a slot-in rewritable Blu-ray Disc optical drive, and has integrated DVR capabilities, up to 1TB of storage space, an HDMI input, Wi-Fi connectivity and an integrated power supply, allowing for an uncluttered wallmount. The VAIO LV have an SRP starting at around $1,600. The Vaio RT High Definition Studio features a 25.5″ LCD XBRITE-FullHD LCD technology Display, a Blu-ray optical drive, integrated digital TV tuners, and an HDMI port. TheVAIO RT High-Definition Studio PC will start at about $3,300.

Bang and Olufsen Reveal Beovision 7

Bang and Olufsen announced their latest foray into the home theater arena with the Beovision 7. The BeoVision 7 line should be available in the US this summer. The 40-inch HDTV unit should include 7.1 surround sound speakers, an amplifier and a DVD player. It's also mounted on a motorized floor stand that will adjust the display to keep the viewers in the optimal viewing position. The BeoVision 7 will retail for $13,500 and comes in an assortment of colors.

Samsung Shows 1080P LCDs With Triple HDMI Ports

With multiple devices now vying for the HDMI Inputs on your HDTV LCD, having those extra ports will prove a boon. Just think, You can get one of these baby's from Sammy, and plug in your HDTV Cable or Satellite box, your HD-DVD unit, and your new Blu-ray based Sony Playstation 3. Talk about spoilt for choice ... the new LCD units from Samsung are 40in, 46in and 52in and all feature 1080p native resolution screens with a high 15,000:1 contrast ratio.

Samsung Unveil A Weatherproof TV

Did I just say weatherproof, maybe they're stretching the line a bit, but the images that are appearing for this new 42" weatherproof HD-ready TV seem to suggest more water than weatherproof. The Sanyo 42LM4WPR-E, as it is called, is not even 1080p but I'm certain that it'll cost as much as one... The Set features a brightness level of 500 cd/m², and a contrast ratio of 800 to 1. Pricing and availability are yet to be announced...

Toshiba Launch 3rd Gen HD DVD Player...

The Blu-ray/HD DVD is hotting up with Toshiba launching the 'HD-EP10' at CeBIT. Launched Stateside in January as the HD-A20 this third gen HD DVD player is looking to be a very cool player ... Pardon the Pun. The EP10 can deliver 1080p content in addition to 1080i and 720p. The only problem is that many of the current so called HDTV's cannot handl this unit full capabilities.
