Shuttle Unveil XPC Barebone SX48P2 Deluxe
Shuttle have announced their XPC Barebone SX48P2 Deluxe which is capable of supporting up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM across four sockets. This is all thanks to Intels X48 Express chipset. The SX48P2 Deluxe also supports Core 2 Duo and Core 2 Quad processors and dual PCI Express 2.0 x16 slots. Gotta like their approach to things... |

Shuttles New XPC Features Blu-ray/HD-DVD Drive
The XPC G5 6801M is the new HD based from Shuttle. It features an AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ processor, 2GB of DDR2 800MHz RAM, a 320GB hard drive, LG's GGC-H20L Blu-ray / HD DVD combo drive, an ATI HD 3450 graphics card with 256MB, a DVB-T tuner, a 25-in-1 multicard reader and 7.1-channel audio output. The XPC is also equipped with 802.11a/b/g, gigabit Ethernet, FireWire, USB / eSATA ports, DVI / VGA out with a DVI-HDMI adapter included and even comes with a nice remote to control all this media goodness. The unit can be had for $1,727 (about £988 ), if you only want Blu-ray without HD-DVD then you can get the unit for $264 less (about £135). For more info visit Shuttle. |

Shuttle SG33G5M XPC - SFF HTPC
Yeah, talk about a lot of letters. Basically this is a Small Form Factor Barebones based Home Theatre PC with a lot of features. At around $400 it is one of the coolest looking Shuttles I've seen yet. I have an earlier model which I swear by, and with all the features found in this new unit I'm very tempted to upgrade. The unit sports HDMI output, remote control and VFD display included. This Vista-ready SFF PC supports Intel’s Core[TM] 2 Quad, Core[TM] 2 Duo E6000/E4000, Pentium Dual-Core E2000 series and Celeron 400 series processors. The unit also supports up to 4GB of DDR2-800 memory in dual-channel mode. With HDMI output which supports the playback of copy protected HD content through HDCP visuals and sound are sent digitally over one cable. Shuttle XPC SD39P2 - Core 2 Quad/Core 2 Extreme
As a fan of the Shuttle based compact PC, I was happy to hear about the new offerings from this manufacturer of small form factor PC's. Shuttle announced the XPC SD39P2 barebones unit, which is a small form factor PC supporting Intel's socket 775 processors, including the Intel Core 2 Quad, Core 2 Duo and Core 2 Extreme series models. The new unit supports up to 8GB of DDR2 800 memory in dual-channel mode and is also compatible with the latest PCI Express graphics cards, such as the Nvidia GeForce 8800GTX/7950GX2 or the ATI Radeon X1900XTX.
